# Associating contacts to custom object

Hi all. I’m working for the first time with a custom object. I’m trying to figure out how I can automate a relationship between contacts and my custom object. Possibly with a workflow. I’ve read articles about association labels but can’t seem to figure it out. Is it even possible? For example a company can auto associate a contact based on email domain. Can I auto link contacts to custom objects based on another contact property? Thanks!

Hi @Pburrows ,  
Curently HubSpot does not have native support for directly associating contacts with custom objects through workflows based on contact properties. But you can check this article [here](https://hapily.com/blog/how-to-associate-custom-objects-in-hubspot-using-associ8) . It seems that there is an [app](https://app.hubspot.com/ecosystem/2891865/marketplace/apps/productivity/workflow-automation/associations-app-272901) available in our Marketplace that can help you achieve this objective.
