In the mean time, I am trying to create a Zapier Trigger that can do this association when a Contact is Created in Hubspot.
The Event chosen is “Create Asssociation”. It asks for, “The ID of the object being associated”, which is easy, I add the field that contains the Contact’s “Company ID”
“Type of the object being associated” : Contact
“Number of associations”: One
“Type of the objects the from object is being associated with”: Company
“Type of the association”: contact_to_company
“Id’s of the objects the from object is being associated with”: ***all i am being presented with are the same contact fields to match with, which makes no sense.***
At no point am I presented with any Company fields (particularly the Company table field, “Company ID”) that I can use to match and associate with from the Contact field’s “Company ID”.
What is happening here?
I can use the “Find Company” action in Zapier without any problem, it finds the Company. The association action is the one that does prsetn me with match options across both contact table and companies table?
