Associate tickets with other tickets

We have just moved from a system that had this feature and is much needed for most of our teams.

I think this is a great idea and as it comes out of the box with other tools, its a necessary addition to really make the hubspot service hub a comparable product for many clients.

How has this sat on the ideas board for two years and not been picked up? Being able to see the other tickets associated with a contact while in a ticket would help reduce duplicative efforts when customers send in multiple tickets through different sources in addition to what others have mentioned.

It seems like they already have this figured out, as the Conversations sidebar has an “Other conversations” card so I don’t see why they can’t implement an “Other tickets” card in the Ticket view.

Hi. That seems a basic feature for a ticketing tool. We face the same problem, even if the client bought Serv Hub Enterprise…

Would be great to have this feature.

This is a must have!

We have three pipelines which serve different purposes and are used by different teams. If customers call in with a concern, we make a ticket. If someone performing service on the product calls in for tech support or warranty, we need a ticket. And if any kind of logisitical support is needed, like rushing parts out, that’s a different ticket.

Without the ability to link tickets, or somehow have one ticket show up in multiple pipelines at once, we have to find workarounds to maintain visibility for the different teams without compromising our reporting capabilities.

Just curious - If anyone from HubSpot support/dev is reading this thread, could you give us an update. We have almost 100 upvotes for a request that is 2.5 years old. HubSpot does record linking so well between company/people/tickets/deals/etc, this would seem to be quite basic to implement. For now, we are merging tickets, but this is not ideal as sometimes the workflows/responsible parties are different. Thank you!

Like @DPiddy I’d love to see an update from the HubSpot Product team. I voted on this back in October 2020 and it doesn’t look like it’s hit the development roadmap yet, and yet it is fundamental to Service teams  Please can we have an update HubSpotコミュニティー about this #Tickets requirement?

Yes please!! Greatly needed.

Any update on this? We need this feature

This is a basic and must have feature for a service/support ticket system. Any update on this?

Yes, we also urgently need this function. Actually a must for a ticket system.
Are there already plans for this?

Ditto - I have two clients who are requesting this today, and we’re having to create workarounds so they can have the associations.

Hi Mark – could you share your workarounds? I posted this suggestion over 2 years ago, and am a HubSpot power user. Shocked and amazed that as innovative as HubSpot is, they have not yet created a solution. This would be so easy to include an additional association to another ticket in the 3rd panel of the Ticket. Thanks for any workaround ideas you can share as this thread has many interested parties.

Has anyone come up with a hack or workaround to make this happen?

We have multiple departments and teams working on various ticket types. This functionality is super-important for us, and something that we are used to in other ticketing systems. Please consider adding this functionality!!

Here’s some additional info about the use case:

we would like for HubSpot to allow not only a creation of a new Record ID but a Parent/Child type of dependency if possible.

Business Need: Migrating from conversations to Tickets as a company. This would allow for all divisions to utilize Ticket Queues to monitor workflow into a DL or team and send dependent Tickets to other teams. This would allow for better tracking and customization of Ticket Types based on the needs for each Department, essentially a Record or Ticket Type. Within a department, if a specific ticket comes in, tasks are then created for the owner of the ticket to resolve. This would allow all divisions to process tickets instead of Conversations, Tickets, Tasks, Emails, and Call queues.

Example:

  • Ticket ABC is created.
  • Button to create Child Ticket is selected.
  • Separate Ticket is created, Ticket DEF. This ticket automatically fills in the Client/Company information to mirror the Ticket ABC. Description of ticket would be blank.
  • On Ticket DEF, there is a field where the Parent Ticket is labeled.
  • Parent Ticket: Ticket ABC is a URL link that leads back to Ticket ABC.
  • Selecting URL.
  • Within Ticket ABC, a field of Child Ticket is labeled.
  • Child Ticket: Ticket DEF is a URL link that leads back to Ticket DEF.

This is essential. A no brainer. Did HS introduce? We would like to also link a Deal to another Deal. This would help us with our Change Orders.

Hubspot team: Any updates on whether this can make a product roadmap?

I’m still in shock realizing that HubSpot doesn’t have a feature to link tickets. For customer support, it is important to link multiple tickets with the same issues. It should be a basic feature to have in the very beginning, while HubSpot provides a Merge feature to merge tickets…, sorry I don’t get the logic.

We were surprised to find out that such a basic feature is not available in Hubspot. Now, I’m surprised to find out that this has been on the radar since 2020 with over 100 upvotes, and there’s still no solution. Wow.
