# Associate parent company through the API?

Is there a way to associate a company with a parent company through the HubSpot API? If not, could this be added? Seems like it would be relatively simple and I have need of it.

Yes, this is possible with the [CRM Associations API](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/crm-associations/crm-associations-overview). This feature [was announced in September](https://integrate.hubspot.com/t/new-functionality-parent-child-associations-via-api/12380).
