Hi,
Is there a way to display the associated HubSpot campaign in the Leads and Deals views?
Here’s the situation:
Say we have a HubSpot campaign called “Ebook Download”, which has a landing page with a form, an email nurture series, and other associated assets.
- Contact A (a new contact who didn’t previously exist in the CRM) submits the form on the landing page. They are marked as an MQL, and a new Lead is created in the Sales workspace. Later, a Deal is opened.
- Contact B (an existing contact from a previously imported list, e.g., from an event) also submits the form on the landing page, following the same journey as above.
Questions.
- Can I see in the Lead’s view if the Lead came from a specific campaign?
- When listing Deals, can I see the campaign the associated contact came from
I’ve seen that there are two contact properties: first touch converting campaign and Last touch converting campaign. If the contact didn’t exist in the CRM, the properties get populated, but in the case the contact already existed, the properties remain empty. I can’t seem to find a clear way to see the campaign values at the contact level, so I can create a custom lead/deal property to pass along the value.
In summary, we want to be able to see in the Deals board and the Leads board (sales workspace), specifically, which campaign they came in from initially.
We are using Marketing Hub Professional
Thanks in advance for any guidance or suggestions!
You can also check first and recent conversion properties, as those can tell you the form that the contact submitted recently or when they first converted. You can also implement UTMs in your campaigns and track based on that (at the form level, for example, add UTMs as hidden properties, and HubSpot should track them automatically). Then you copy the campaign information at the lead and the deal level. Make sure that the relevant assets are added to each campaign you want to track.
Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
You’re right regarding UTM params, and actually HubSpot campaigns generate a unique Campaign UTM value listed in the campaign details page. This seems to work fine for new contacts, but for existing contacts, I can’t seem to see how to associate them with the campaign.
For example, say I have a new campaign to target leads I got from a conference, and these leads were uploaded to the CRM through import. Then one of these contacts submits a form that is linked to the campaign. Properties first and last touch converting campaign remains empty. The latest traffic source contains the form name but I can’t seem to see the Campaign UTM value, so not sure how to identify that this contact converted in the campaign.
In summary, I’d like to be able to have the campaign value at the deal level so I can filter closed deals by campaign and measure our marketing efforts.
@DankaHS - Did you get any traction on this? This is exactly what I am running into now. We create Lead Object MQL’s and would like to be able to measure against which campaigns generated our Lead object MQL’s.
I am struggling to connect the dots.
Hey @AdBlack22,
Thanks for following up here!
I’d also like to tag @RubenBurdin back into the conversation to see if he has any further insight for us.
