I have five businesses, each with its own Xero account. I now want to set up my HubSpot account with 5 business units.
The issue is that I want to set up Xero integration for each of the 5 business units so that I can tell which Xero account a contact came from, and then automatically assign that business unit property to it. Is there any way to do this?
@TV5 business units in HubSpot are included with Enterprise subscriptions and are purchased per BU. If you have the corresponding business units in HubSpot that you have in Xero you can achieve this either directly with your integration mapping or by using Zapier.
Yes, you can do this by connecting each Xero account to HubSpot via separate integrations (using middleware like Zapier, Make, or custom APIs).
For each Xero account, tag the contacts with a unique identifier (e.g., “Business A,” “Business B” etc.) when syncing to HubSpot.
Create a custom property in HubSpot called “Business Unit” and map this identifier during the sync.
Use HubSpot’s Operations Hub workflows or automation to assign the correct Business Unit based on this identifier.
Make sure your HubSpot account has Business Units add-on activated to manage multiple brands.
Set up filters or lists in HubSpot using the “Business Unit” property to segment contacts by their origin.
Optionally, sync invoices and payments from Xero to HubSpot, linked to the right business unit. Cloudify will help you with seamless custom integration between HubSpot and multiple Xero accounts.
