So HubSpot cannot append data to contact fields as Pardot does? Really? Can’t believe that. Is this true?

I have a form and if it is submitted, I don’t want to overwrite any previous data, rather put a semicolon and add the new details. Can this be done?

Hi @MikeM7,

You’re correct, this is currently not possible. Other users have requested this before: [https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Append-new-values-to-multiple-checkbox-property-instead-of/idi-p/338981](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Append-new-values-to-multiple-checkbox-property-instead-of/idi-p/338981)

I’d recommend upvoting and commenting on the request. The product team reviews these requests based on their popularity.

You can also make it easier for others to find this request by accepting my reply as a solution. I’d appreciate it, too.

In terms of workarounds, I’m only aware of workarounds involving workflows (available in Professional subscriptions). You would create one property for use in forms and one property to append new values from the form. This could be achieved with the _Copy property_ _value_ in workflows which has the option to append instead of replace.

Best regards!

Hi @karstenkoehler for the workflow workaround, it only work for multiple checkboxes, but what if it is a single line text or multi-line text, do you know if there is a workaround on that one?

Sure, @MoniLoLiev, simply use the “Edit record” workflow action to set the value of the property to its own value + whatever you want to concatenate.

e.g. set TEXT PROPERTY to [current value of text property] [additional value]
