I am working with a company that wants to post leads to my account and are asking for API posting instructions. Any help would be appreciated

This is from the company

We are looking for API posting instructions for leads. You may be using a different term in the system such as “Contacts”. Whats important is that we receive instructions on how to post, including field name mapping, and API key and posting URL.

They want to add the following information

contact name

address

email

phone

we also can post info about the consumer (optional)

electricity bill

electricity bill amount

roof shading

we also can post other info about the publisher (optional)

publisher id

sub id

Hi @CCochran,

I’d recommend sending them the [CRM API Documentation](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/crm/contacts). If you are looking to create a contact in the system you would be using the **POST** `/crm/v3/objects/contacts` endpoint. If there is a large amount of contacts you could also us the **POST** `/crm/v3/objects/contacts/batch/create` endpoint. This is generally more efficient as you can create up to 10 contacts in a single request. Within your requests body you include key value pairs to allow you to set contact properties on creation. This data is in JSON format.

You’ll also need to inform them of the methods of authorizing API requests, this is documented [here](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/private-apps). Finally, I’m sure you are taken the necessary precautions but be mindful of whom you allow to integrate with your HubSpot portal.
