# API payment\_link endpoint 'MISSING\_SCOPE' alternative/availability?

When I try this endpoint url…  
[https://api.hubspot.com/crm/v3/objects/payment\_link/{payment\_link\_id}](https://api.hubspot.com/crm/v3/objects/payment_link/%7Bpayment_link_id%7D) … the response returned is:  
{  
“status”: “error”,  
“message”:

“The scope needed for this API call isn’t available for public use. If you have questions, contact support or post in our developer forum.”,  
…  
“category”: “MISSING\_SCOPES”  
}  
Any idea on alternative ways to access payment\_link data via API, and the current roadmap to open up this endpoint to developers?

This is the only public reference I can find regarding “Payments API”.

Thank you for sending those over. As those posts were from 2022, these features were stubbed out I guess pending deferred development (as the endpoint returns something as I show above)  
All I’m looking for is the contact-specific payment\_link url  
When an unfinished form transaction -- a form that redirects to a payment link -- isn’t completed (only the form submission half is) the orphaned payment\_link expires, and if a user decides to enter in a different billing email later into an anonymous payment link later (and they don’t have tracking cookies enabled), the link between payment and contact is gone.  
Trying to avoid this by accessing a contact’s payment\_link explicitly.
