Hello!

What’s the difference between ownerID and createdBy field in engagements API? From user’s perspective, does the ownerID almost means createdBy?

Sidequestion: I found that ownerID correlates with [Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/crm/owners) but have no clue what is it. Could you please give a hint to which resource values are related?

ownerID = The owner of the object
createdBy = the creator of the object (usually the object gets assigned to someone else)
The createdBy and OwnerID can be the same values if the person who created the object assigns themselves to it. The values that are pulled from this are based on the HubSpot users in the platform. You can find the API values for these by navigating to Settings\>Properties - Search for contact owner, and you’ll see the internal values.
