I’m seeing http 500 internal error responses when trying to import Contacts via the crm/v3/imports endpoint.

I can take the exact same CSV file and run it through the importer tool on the Hubspot site with the exact same field mappings and everything imports just fine.

The API response is this:

{“status”:“error”,“message”:“internal error”,“correlationId”:“090759f7-124c-4255-a385-7e79f08ad62d”}

Any hints about where I can look to resolve this?

Hi @PSayers 👋

Any chance you could safely share a bit more contextual information relating to your API request to /crm/v3/imports (e.g. endpoint URL, headers, body etc.)? This might help us get to the bottom of the issue you’re expriencing.

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

@PSayers - I have to say that I found this import API very tricky to set up and use. At least part of my story is written up here: [https://community.hubspot.com/t5/APIs-Integrations/HubDB-imports-how-to-connect-the-dots/td-p/802068](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/APIs-Integrations/HubDB-imports-how-to-connect-the-dots/td-p/802068) if that can be of help.

I probably have a few more debug thoughts if you can offer additional details of the API usage.

Steve

I finally got this working.

This was atypo/oversight on my part.

This was a case of missing some pieces from a copy/paste/edit of some integration code.

I have information in the column mapping part of the import API call but the columns simply didn’t exist in the data I was trying toimport.
