Any advice for someone new in B2B sales?

Hi!
I just got a new job and a big part of it seems to be B2B sales.
Does anyone have any tips?
Even the smallest pieces of advice would be greatly appreciated :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @SunnyK and congratulations on your new job!
My top advice is to listen closely to your prospects and focus on building strong relationships.
I’m sure our wonderful Community will jump in with more tips and stories!
Let’s consult some of our Community Members: Hi @Peter8, @PClemmer and @CDuff6 do you have any tips to share with @SunnyK, please?
Wishing you lots of success @SunnyK, and thanks everyone!

I will keep in mind that it’s all about listening! Thank you for the great advice :slightly_smiling_face:

Consistent prospecting is the lifeblood of B2B sales. Even on days you’re closing deals, keep filling the pipeline. Keep a regular health check of your pipeline and stay intouch even with the deadleads and you will see results coming in automatically. Remember: Pipeline is your main ASSET in B2B sales.

Thank you so much for the advice. Being persistent seems to be an important trait!

My biggest advice would be to take a deep dive into who you’re selling to. While the sale is B2B, the people within an organization are still human and tend to react more strongly when you can identify real pain points. Become an expert in what makes your ICP tick and how your solution or service can meaningfully help them.

Thanks for sharing! It seems like having the clients best interest at heart is the key.

Follow up, follow up, follow up. Just because you don’t get one response doesn’t mean the connection is over. This helped me big time. Hope this helps!
