Annotate, highlight, and blur screenshots in the knowledge base image editor

Knowledge Base screenshots often need arrows, boxes, or blurred data. Today, the HubSpot image editor only offers crop, resize, and rotate, and each edit creates a duplicate file. Everything else means editing externally, re-uploading, and replacing the image in every article.

Please add to the image editor:

  • Simple arrows, boxes, and numbered markers to highlight the exact button or step
  • Blur to hide personal data like names, emails, and order numbers

Why it matters:

  • Customers find the right spot faster, so fewer support tickets
  • Faster screenshot updates after every product release- no need to use external tools

One useful addition would be solid redaction boxes alongside blur. Names and email addresses need to be removed from the published image, rather than just covered by an editable layer.

It would also help to distinguish “update this image everywhere” from “save a separate copy.” Sometimes a screenshot change belongs in every article, while other times it should affect only one.
