I could create an editorial calendar and conduct SEO keyword research before writing, to have a more organized process and reach more people.
The ideal would be to set up a complete content creation infrastructure
Before creating content, I ask myself three questions: Why this content? What will it bring to those who come across it? What will its objective be? Educational? Visibility? Conversion? And then, I observe, I check in with my audience, their reactions, their silence… Because ultimately, it’s not enough to just create content, but to provide a solution to a problem.
Review my editorial line to check if it aligns with my company’s objectives.
What I need to do is find my creative process, which will allow me to repeat the same process each time. My creativity won’t be any less affected—just more structured.
I think the best first step is to introduce a short meeting (15 minutes) or a validation checklist before starting the creation process, where I review what worked well last time, what didn’t work, and what my colleagues observed. This would make the process more reproducible, as each new piece of content would be based on concrete lessons rather than just my intuition, and it would also facilitate collaboration since everyone would be aligned from the start.
As a future beginner, since I am embarking on creating copywriting content, and more specifically in the medical and pharmaceutical field, I plan to initiate content on aspects of health promotion targeting a diverse audience (teenagers, young adults, and the elderly).
Why? Because this audience generally believes that improving a health situation occurs during a crisis period (onset of a flu episode, pregnancy monitoring, control and monitoring of a chronic illness…). Improving one’s health goes far beyond that!
Individuals must take ownership of everything that can contribute to improving their health status, by informing themselves about health trends and relying on health education to promote wellness.
I should take the time to analyze my target audience to create content that best suits them.
organize my ideas, then edit them in a table or calendar
Since this is my first time using the editorial calendar in HubSpot, I will be able to further improve my content creation by focusing on publication, responsibility, editor, article title, description, status, and keywords, while also highlighting the content creation infrastructure.
Understand why this content is being created and what its importance and impact will be
To improve my process, I always take 10 minutes before diving in to clarify the content’s goal and the key message I want to convey. This prevents me from going in multiple directions and saves time during the review phase.
I also keep a small, reusable template or checklist (structure, tone, call-to-action) so I don’t have to start from scratch each time. This makes the process more repeatable, as Tiphaine says.
Before creating my next piece of content, I could establish a clear checklist for each stage of the process (research, planning, writing, editing, and publishing). This would make my work more organized, reduce errors, and facilitate collaboration with others. I could also regularly review this checklist to identify areas for improvement and optimize my content creation process over time.
I could rely much more on SEO for new content creation ideas and diversify them
