I’m having trouble with the integration between HubSpot and Aloware. When I send a text blast from Aloware, HubSpot’s ‘Last Activity Date’ isn’t reflecting these activities. please help
Hi @Carmel97,
The Last Activity Date as it is explained in this article is set when the last date and time a note, call, tracked and logged sales email, meeting, LinkedIn/SMS/WhatsApp message, or chat was logged on the contact record.
And in the Aloware support docs it says that SMS from Aloware might be logged as a SMS engagements or SMS Timeline (integration activity) events. It might be that if logged only as an Integration activity, this is not picked up by as Last Activity Date on the Contact. Double check how they are logged on the contact once sent via a workflow.
All above is just a guess as I have never used Aloware.
If for some reason they are not logged as an SMS activity, I can suggest a workaround, you could log a Note perhaps right in your workflow after you send a blast with a meaningfull note body. Perhaps “Aloware SMS sent”. That should get logged as Last Activity Date.
Hope that helps.
Hi @Carmel97
You’re right that HubSpot’s Last Activity Date only updates when certain engagement types are logged (notes, calls, tracked emails, meetings, logged SMS/WhatsApp, chats).
If Aloware is only pushing an “integration event” instead of a proper SMS engagement, HubSpot won’t treat it as activity. You can double-check this by opening a contact record in HubSpot and seeing under the timeline if the SMS is logged as an engagement or just an integration event
(HubSpot's default contact properties)
If it’s not logged as a native SMS engagement, the workaround is to create a secondary action after sending your Aloware blast. For example, via a workflow you can automatically log a note like “Aloware SMS sent” to each contact. That will update Last Activity Date since notes count as tracked activities
(Choose your workflow actions)
For what it’s worth, a lot of teams run into this same issue when trying to keep engagement data consistent across HubSpot and third-party comms tools. We actually built Stacksync to solve exactly this kind of problem: ensuring real-time, two-way sync between systemss
So every SMS, call, or activity is reflected immediately in HubSpot. That way you don’t need to maintain workarounds or miss critical touchpoints in reporting.
Happy to walk you through how it works if helpful.
Hope this helps.
