When creating a change quote, editing a line item preserves its original billing end date. I need to create a new line item in the change quote which has the billing end date of the original line item/contract. But in the UI the only option is to choose monthly/annual billing with a set number of months. it’s possible to set via the API (e.g. “in 6 months 3 days”) which exposes billing end date so it should be simple to add to the UI.
An obvious case is upselling mid-term. If I have a line item “Marketing Hub Pro” and I want to update it to “Marketing Hub Enterprise”, I’m supposed to go to the contract → create change quote → cancel the pro line item → add the new enterprise line item. It’s impossible to make that new line item end with the current contract end date in the UI
