This is something Hubspot needs to handle. We have created a workaround that includes having a custom field against contacts called ‘Generic email’ to specifically capture the shared email address against individual contact records, but have then had to create workflows to ensure a contact record is created (with a generic naming convention) to be a placeholder for this email address so that it is handled in the outlook add-in and ensure that all the individual contacts are then linked correctly to the generic record. We are also using this as a basis for a workwround in forms to try and stop the continuous first/last name updates against the email address when new forms are submitted. When dealing B2B use of team email addresses is really common, but we know a number of the indviduals associated with each team inbox, even though we wouldn’t have individual email addresses. While I understand this is a unique identifier, I am suprised Hubspot has not found any workaround to this as it is a common scenario.
