Description:
We’re using the new report cards on CRM records to surface key metrics directly on Ticket records, which is great for giving agents context without leaving the ticket. However, the current implementation is very rigid and creates UX issues.
Right now, when you add a report card to a record view:
- It can only live as a full‑width card in the middle column of the record.
- The card’s size is fixed – you can’t make it shorter, more compact, or resize it like you can with dashboard reports.
- You can’t place it in the left sidebar (where our “at‑a‑glance” fields live), and there’s no “small widget” style version.
On Tickets in particular, this means the report card is visually huge and dominates the middle column, pushing down the activity timeline and other important ticket context.
What we’d like to see:
-
Resizable report cards on records
- Similar to dashboard reports, allow dragging from a corner or choosing from predefined sizes (S/M/L) to control height/footprint.
- Option for a compact/summary mode that shows just a key metric or mini chart.
-
Flexible placement options
- Ability to place a report card:
- In the left sidebar as a compact card, or
- In the right sidebar as a smaller visualization, not only in the middle column.
- Ability to place a report card:
-
Per‑view layout control
- Let us configure different report‑card layouts for different team views (e.g., agents vs. managers) without forcing everyone to live with a huge middle‑column card.
