This can be done. A workaround is as follows
- Add button in the marketing email.
- Find the internal name of the property that holds URL
- Add object name before internal name. e.g contact.internal_name
- Encapsulate internal name it in curley brackets. e.g {{contact.internal_name}}
- add it in Button URL
