Assuming Conversation properties will be available in the future once the Conversations API is released. We’d like to be able to pass metadata regarding other Hubspot information and store it within a Conversation Property.
Context: We have the Chat Widget shown within our product, and each of our customer’s venues we have are stored as Deals. We have no way of easily associating deals automatically from within Hubspot when a conversation begins, breaking our ability to track an associate support conversations/tickets to a Deal/Venue.
However, we do have Deal ID stored within the account in which the venue is beginning the conversation and we were hoping to use that Deal ID to help identify and match incoming Conversations to an existing Deal.
Would love to know how else we could solve for this, but adding functionality to pass metadata would solve our pain point. (Or even better, just the ability to associate Support tickets to deals automatically would be game-changing.)
