Allow Freezing the First Column in Association Tables on Record Overview Pages

It would be incredibly helpful if HubSpot allowed users to freeze the first column in association tables displayed on the Overview tab of a record.

Currently, when association tables contain multiple columns, users need to scroll horizontally to view additional information. As soon as you do this, the primary record identifier (such as Course Name, Company Name, Contact Name, etc.) scrolls out of view, making it difficult to know which row you’re looking at.

Example Use Case: In our custom object associations, we display several important columns alongside the associated record name. When reviewing records and scrolling horizontally to view status, owner, dates, or other key fields, the associated record name disappears from view. This makes it harder to compare data and increases the risk of referencing the wrong record.

Suggested Enhancement:

  • Add an option to freeze the first column in association tables on record Overview pages.
  • Ideally, allow admins to choose whether the first column is pinned by default.
  • Similar functionality exists in spreadsheets and many CRM table views, making large datasets much easier to navigate.

Benefits:

  • Improved usability for association cards with many columns
  • Reduced user errors when reviewing associated records
  • Faster data analysis and comparison
  • Better experience for teams working with custom objects and complex data relationships

This would be a small UI enhancement with a significant impact on day-to-day productivity.
