Currently there is no way for a user to modify these limits in their portal. I suggest giving users more control over these limits:
From the knowledge base:
“activities logged on a contact record will be automatically associated to the record’s associated company and the associated five (5) most recent open deals”
"By default, the Chrome extension will automatically select the contact’s first three (3) associated deal records to log emails to. If you include any recipients in the CC/BCC field, the records’ associated objects will also be automatically selected. "
Thanks for your consideration!
This functionality would be very helpful. Many of our contacts are reocurring clients who have deals with us every year and therefore surpass this deal limit. The limitation of only 3 automatically associated deals (no matter their status: open or closed) per contact means that we either have to manually associate deals each times this happens (not realistic) or send all emails through the contact records. The latter option would involve a significant change to how our sales team operates so TBD if this is feasible. For now, we will just have to sacrifice the ability to track/report on stale deals, which is unfortunate.
I suggest having the functionality to adjust the limits as Lauren mentioned, or even making the Chrome extension logic the same as within the CRM, since it seems much more logical (5 most recent open deals).
This is a great idea! It’d be great if we could also filter by open deals, such that we don’t associate older deals
Eliminate the limit or at least filter by most recent deals not won/lost.
