Right now, if you have to use a GDPR consent checkbox, you have to choose which Subscription Type the user gets subscribed to. There is no way to subscribe them to multiple subscription types, for example all marketing emails.
There is no workaround, although we tried several:
You cannot add a workflow after form submit that automatically subscribes them to other types, as that is not an option.
There is also no way to make a subscription type that is designed to incorporate all other Subscription types that, say, have a “Purpose of Subscription” value of “Marketing”. In other words, there is no ‘catch all’ subscription type.
Lastly, when creating an email, there is no way to set it to be sent to people of different subscription types. This particular piece of missing functionality is worth an idea post of its own, since being able to send one email to users of multiple subscription types should be basic functionality.
