HubSpot should allow Google Ads lifecycle-stage conversion events to send a dynamic conversion value based on the actual value a customer paid, rather than requiring a fixed value for every conversion.
For example, when a contact becomes a Customer, the Google Ads conversion could automatically use the value from an associated deal — such as Deal Amount, MRR, ARR, or another custom revenue property — and pass it to Google Ads with the appropriate currency.
This would be particularly valuable for businesses with multiple plans, variable pricing, or different customer segments. A fixed conversion value treats a low-value subscription and a high-value customer as identical, which makes revenue reporting and optimisation less accurate.
Benefits would include:
- More accurate ROAS and revenue attribution in Google Ads
- Better Smart Bidding optimisation based on actual customer value
- Clearer visibility into which campaigns, keywords, and audiences generate the highest-value customers
- Less manual work and no need for custom API or third-party automation
- A scalable solution for SaaS and subscription businesses with different plan values
Ideally, the setup would let users choose a numeric property from the associated deal, contact, or company record as the conversion value, with an option to use the deal’s currency as well.
This would make HubSpot’s native Google Ads lifecycle-stage conversions far more useful for revenue-focused teams. If this would help your business too, please upvote it.
