Allow Contact Records to Display the Logo of the Associated Company (Not Just Email Domain)

In many industries, it’s common for individuals to work as consultants or contractors who use their employer’s email address (e.g., @consultingfirm.com) but are embedded within or represent a different organization (e.g., a bank, government department, or corporate client).

Currently, HubSpot displays the logo on the contact card based on the email domain of the contact, even if they are correctly associated with a different company in the CRM.

This creates confusion for teams using HubSpot for relationship management, account-based marketing, or stakeholder engagement. The logo often misrepresents who the contact works for, especially when:

  • The contact is a consultant using their consultancy’s email
  • The contact works in government but uses a shared domain
  • The contact’s email domain is generic (e.g., gmail.com, hotmail.com) but they are associated with a known brand

Feature Request:
Give admins the ability to configure how logos are displayed on Contact Records, with options such as:

  • Use logo from associated Company instead of contact’s email domain
  • Prioritize associated Company logo if a match exists
  • Turn off contact-level logo enrichment entirely
  • Choose between Clearbit-enriched logo vs. manually uploaded logo

Benefits:

  • Improves CRM clarity and reduces misidentification of key stakeholders
  • More accurately reflects business relationships, especially in professional services
  • Enables more trustworthy internal reporting, segmentation, and user confidence

Example Use Case:

We have a contact with the email @XYZconsulting.com, but they workon behalf of anoter organisation. We’ve correctly associated them with the other organisation in HubSpot, but the contact card still shows the XYZConsulting logo. This misrepresents the account they’re working on and causes confusion for sales, marketing, and reporting.

Priority:
Medium-High. This enhancement would benefit any company using HubSpot for account-based engagement, B2B relationship tracking, or multi-org partnerships.

Hi Blake, Alex from Logo.dev.

Since the Clearbit Logo API is being sunset on December 1, 2025, the recommended replacement is the Logo.dev Logo API. You can pull the logo from the associated company’s domain instead of the contact’s email domain:

https://img.logo.dev/xyzconsulting.com?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN

This ensures the correct organization’s logo is displayed in your CRM and avoids the email domain mismatch issue. Logo.dev is HubSpot’s preferred migration partner and is trusted by tens of thousands of developers at companies like Linear, Perplexity, and Okta.
