I’d like the ability to create a Salesforce task from a cart-based workflow, using the cart’s associated contact as the Salesforce task target. Right now, HubSpot only offers “Create Salesforce task” in contact-based workflows.
Use case:
We use a cart-based workflow for abandoned cart follow-up. In many cases, we want sales to be alerted in Salesforce when a high-value or qualified abandoned cart comes in. We currently have extra separate contact-based workflows for those notifications. It would be cleaner and easier to keep abandoned cart automation in the object where the event actually happens.
Why this matters:
- Reduces the chance for error by consolidating multiple workflows into one
- Helps sales teams act faster on revenue-generating cart activity
- Makes commerce and Salesforce automation work more naturally together
Steps in this request:
- Add Create Salesforce task as an available action in cart-based workflows
- Let the action target the associated contact on the cart
- Allow task assignment to the contact owner / integration user, just like contact-based workflows
