Allow Breeze Custom Assistants to analyse images attached to CRM records

We are developing a Breeze Custom Assistant to help our sales team assess incoming enquiries directly from a Deal record.

Many of our customers submit images as part of their enquiry — for example photographs of existing products/installations, locations, artwork, sketches or reference images. These arrive through HubSpot forms or email and are already associated with the relevant CRM record.

At present, Breeze can see the CRM record and the attachment metadata/filename, but it cannot access the actual image content for visual analysis.

HubSpot Support has confirmed that this is a current product limitation. CRM attachment URLs use an authenticated access path that Breeze cannot currently follow, even though the logged-in HubSpot user can access the image.

Requested functionality

Allow Breeze Custom Assistants/Agents to access and visually analyse images and other supported files that:

  • are already associated with the CRM record being analysed; and

  • the current HubSpot user has permission to access.

Why this matters

The current suggested workaround is for the user to locate the image separately in File Manager and manually attach it to the Breeze conversation.

This defeats much of the purpose of creating an agent around a CRM workflow. The objective is for a salesperson to open a Deal and ask the agent to assess the enquiry using the information already associated with that Deal.

Requiring the salesperson to leave that workflow, locate the correct files and manually supply them to the agent introduces additional steps and creates opportunities for the wrong or incomplete files to be selected.

Making customer-uploaded files publicly accessible simply so Breeze can retrieve them also doesn’t seem an appropriate solution for an internal CRM workflow.

Example use case

A customer submits an enquiry through a HubSpot form containing:

  • a description of what they require;

  • contact/company information;

  • dimensions and other structured information; and

  • several photographs showing the existing situation.

A Breeze Custom Assistant should be able to assess the complete enquiry — including the photographs — directly from the resulting CRM record.

As HubSpot develops more agentic CRM workflows, the ability for agents to understand the actual contents of files already held against CRM records feels like an important capability. It would allow images and attachments to become part of the CRM context rather than requiring users to manually re-supply them to the AI.
