Allow Admins to Control Account Banner Visibility with Permission Sets or Account Settings

HubSpot --

PLEASE enable admins to manage which users are shown banner notifications around account and billing updates (marketing contact and calling minute limits, for example), product outages/notifications, etc.

We have 400+ users, many of whom have very little knowledge or understanding of HubSpot outside of how it is used within their immediate roles. Every time we are shown a banner regarding marketing contacts approaching their limit, we receive anywhere from a handful to dozens of internal confused or panicked tickets (or “Just FYI, in case you didn’t see this!” tickets) from our users.

This not only wastes our time, it is confusing and often worrying for our hundreds of team members using HubSpot, *and* it makes it look like we’re not on top of things as admins. This is especially frustrating because marketing contacts are only reset once per month, so the banner will sit there until we cross the limit, even if we do proceed with rolling back some of of them. We’re essentially held hostage by this banner until we cross the limit and are charged for the additional contacts.

I can understand this perhaps not being an option on free or lower tier accounts, but for any customer with at least a professional account (or in our case, at the enterprise level across multiple hubs), this is extremely frustrating and cheapens the feel of the product and customer experience.

Ideally banner visibility would be an account-wide setting OR something we can work into permission sets so that they are shown only to relevant users. But even a “hide this banner for all users” button that admins can click within individual banners would go a LONG way.

I found a similar post from all the way back in 2021, so it’s incredibly disappointing to know that this has gone that long unaddressed.

To add insult to injury, your banner has a typo…
