I’d like HubSpot’s iPhone app to allow users to add a contact’s profile photo directly when creating a new contact. I see that there was a similar product request (Unable to upload contact photo in mobile app!) that was marked as “Solved” but the problem remains. Therefore I am creating a new request because of its importance to the workflow of our organization.
Right now, I can create the contact on my phone, but I can’t set the contact’s actual profile image at that time. Since most people take a person’s photo on their phone, this creates unnecessary extra steps. I have to either attach the image to an activity or move the photo to a computer and then update the contact photo later on desktop.
Why this matters:
- It interrupts a natural mobile workflow
- It adds friction and extra steps after contact creation
- It makes contact records less complete in the moment
- It’s especially inconvenient when meeting people in person
Suggested improvement:
Add an option during iPhone contact creation to take a photo or choose one from the phone and save it as the contact’s profile image.
