Allow a super admin to remove a property from all views

Problem: If you want to archive a property in Hubspot, a property has to be “used in” 0. This means that a property cannot be used in a view, reports, workflows, calculated properties, etc. Today, a super admin has to delete all views or ask the user who created the view to remove the property as a column from a view.

Solution - If a property is no longer needed, allow a super admin to remove a property from all views. Going through up to 100 views and manually removing a property is not feasible. Manually deleting up to 100 views is also not ideal as quite often the views are still needed.

110% AGREE! It is super time consuming to go through each and every property and all of the views and reports they are used in to remove them and archive.

Not to mention the way you must clone a private view, delete the original, then remove the property from use… now meaning that I own all of the “private” views.

This needs to be basic functionality for the administrator role.

Please make this an option. I’m retroactively organising the CRM and having to contact each person individually to ask them to delete a view is incredibly frustrating and time consuming. It’s mind boggling this isn’t already an option because the work around is so time intensive.

Agreed. Super Admins are also unable to remove properties from views which is a huge blocker. I ended up deleting hundreds of views which was worth it but there definitely needs to be an easier way to remove a property from multiple views so that it can be archived.

Hi all, just wanted to share this update with you all as Hubspot just reached out to me. It is available to all tiers.

You will just need to request access to this BETA which then needs approval from Hubspot.
