Align Basic Meeting Logging Features Between Core Seats and Sales Seats

Idea:
This idea is for teams using both Core Seats and Sales Seats in HubSpot who rely on consistent meeting documentation for CRM data quality.

Currently, the functionality for meeting logging differs significantly between users with Core Seats and those with Sales Seats. Even considering that the new meeting follow-up experience for Sales Seats is still in beta, some fundamental features should be available to Core Seat users as well.

In my opinion, the following basics are essential for proper meeting documentation and data hygiene:

  • The ability to enter a custom title when manually logging meetings
  • The ability to assign HubSpot users as meeting participants

At the moment, both features are only available in the beta meeting view for Sales Seat users. This creates inconsistencies in how meetings are documented across teams and makes it harder to maintain structured CRM data.

Additionally, there is currently a limitation in the opposite direction. In the Sales Seat meeting view, users cannot access all available associations, while this is possible in the Core Seat version. For example, associating meetings with Projects is currently only supported in the Core Seat experience.

Suggested improvement:
Core Seat users should have access to the essential meeting logging features such as custom titles and internal participant assignment. At the same time, the Sales Seat experience should support the full range of associations already available in the Core Seat version.

Aligning these capabilities would ensure consistent meeting documentation, improve CRM data quality and reduce confusion for teams working across different seat types.
