Advice Needed: Best Learning Path for Helping Small Businesses with HubSpot

Hello everyone,

I’m Julien, and I’m excited to be a part of this community! I have a background in CRM management, specifically with SLATE CRM, and I’m currently in the process of starting my own business. My mission is straightforward: I want to help small businesses get started with HubSpot, focusing on effectively managing client relationships—exactly what HubSpot is designed for.

I’m reaching out to this group because I know there’s a wealth of experience and knowledge here. I’ve reviewed the HubSpot Academy career paths, but I’m still unsure which one would best suit my needs. My goal is to support small businesses in their journey by implementing HubSpot to streamline their processes and improve their client management.

Given my background and objectives, I’d love to hear your recommendations on which learning paths or resources I should focus on to best prepare myself for this venture. Any advice or insights you could share would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your guidance, and I look forward to learning and growing with this community.

Best regards,
Julien

Hi @Julien_JB,

The Academy is a great place to start as it will give you some of the underlying knowledge needed, at least for the basics. To go beyond the basics, I’d also check out some of the resources from @GeorgeBThomas at https://sidekickstrategies.com/learning?type=videos …there’s some great stuff in there!

I’d also add, experience is going to be the ultimate learning path, especially if you are advising other businesses. I’ve gone through the Academy, the certification programs, consumed a ton of videos and resources, but I’ve learned the most from being hands-on with clients in real-world scenarios. I know this is easier said than done when first starting a business, but start small and start building the background knowledge.

Best of luck with your business!
