Hi! My company will be switching to HubSpot soon, and I’m reviewing current data to plan for cleanup and import. We appear to have a huge mess with physical addresses, and I’m hoping someone has a suggestion for cleanup.

Our client addresses are in multiple countries, and the current CRM just has a large multi-line text field for the entire address. The addresses have been entered by a lot of different people, and there is no consistency in formatting. All of the Excel cleanup tricks I can find don’t really apply (inconsistent comma usage, inconsistent order of information, etc).

Do you know of any tools I can use to clean this up prior to import, or is this something we’ll have to do on a record-by-record basis? It’s not the biggest data import - maybe 800 records - but still something I’d prefer not to have to do by hand. 🙂

Thanks!!
Holley

Hi there,

You may use this [Insycle](https://app.hubspot.com/ecosystem/6325387/marketplace/apps/marketing/data-management/insycle)

With the help of this app, you can either clean up your data before importing it to HubSpot or do it within HubSpot because Insycle Data Management is a HubSpot-certified app.

You can also manage duplicates and missed data there or through HubSpot.

In regards to changing the addresses, I think there has to be some manual work as well, of course. But when it is done, you can standardize how everybody will input the data to HubSpot.
