I logged into my app with my HubSpot marketing account and gave my app the required permissions. Then, I added additional scopes in my app. When I try to log in with my marketing account again, the additional scope permissions are not being requested and I’m getting this error: “Insufficient scopes were provided. Please contact the app developer.”

Does anyone know how to force HubSpot to request the additional scope permissions I added?

Hey, @kmethuku 👋 You’ll need to provide more details to help the community understand your goal.

Updating your post with the following information is often helpful in getting the community engaged:

- What scope specifically are you adding?
- Does the error body indicate a specific scope or scopes that are needed or missing? Can you copy the error body or grab a not-too-zoomed-in screenshot?
- Can you add screenshots of the scope(s) you added to your app?
- What HubSpot tier is your Marketing account? — Starter, Professional, Enterprise?
- What specific API and endpoint are you using? Can you link to the documentation page?

The main issue is that some-but-not-all endpoints have tier-based limitations. And without complete information, it is not possible to give an answer or even a guess. Or very challenging at best.

I honestly feel like with additional data, the community will be able to assist you in the manner you are wanting.

Thank you! — Jaycee
