Adding Type to a Contact

Hello,

I am trying to add the Type field to a Contact. I want to sort my contacts by the Types that I created. However, it appears that I am only able to add the Type field for Companies. Please advise.

Hi @jjacobsohn,

By default, Type is only a property that exists at the company level. However, if you really want to use it at the contact level, you can create a custom property which mimics what is shown on the company property.

Please note, unless you have the ability to use Workflows (in a Pro or Enterprise account), you won’t be able to copy the values over from one to the other. If you are on Pro or Enterprise, a workflow can be created so that you are seeing the same values whether you are looking at a company or a contact.
