Adding privacy consent from a form to a list

I have a data capture form on my campaign landing page, which asks for user consent to receive email communications.

How do I capture/ recognise given consent (user ticks box to give consent/ say contact me) from the data gathered in the form when i create a list?

When I “export submissions”, consent is not one of the values exported.

When I “create list of contacts” and try to add the “privacy consent” value as a filter (£Contact has completed with value" --> !Approved" - seems to be the only/ logical way) it excludes my test submissions where I have given consent.

I want to creatre a list from the contacts that I can email knowing I have concsent. I don;y want to make them "marketing contacts"by default as some wonlt have given consent.

Please advise how to do this/ where I am going wrong.

If you want to create list of contacts that opted into a specific subscription type by checking the corresponding box in your website form, there is a dedicated filter option in lists for that:
