Hi,

Here’s the context of my problem:

I have a form where I want to create a conditional logic dependency between two properties e.g: if the value of the property\_1 is set THEN the value of the property\_2 is also set. At the moment, I’m only able to do the following: if the value of the property\_1 is set THEN show property\_2 BUT I’m unable to set the value of property\_2 since the form doesn’t allow me to do such thing.

Here’s my question:

Is anyone already faced this issue of conditional logic dependency between two properties in a Hubspot Form ? If so how did you manage to set-up the values of the related properies ?

Appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks!

Hi @NChamberland and a big warm welcome to the HubSpot Community! 🧡
Great question, thanks for asking!
Here is a similar post “[Dynamic values on form fields](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Lead-Capture-Tools/Dynamic-values-on-form-fields/m-p/1215769)” that might give you some ideas.

@NChamberland - Although it would be great if there was programmability in the HubSpot forms editor to do what you wish, its likely that a slightly customized form embed script gives you flexibility to do this tweak and a whole lot more!

The basic form customization approach is to overload the form embed script (quite often within a custom landing page module) with frahments of Javascript that perform the necessary form field data manipulations and calculations. The final ‘submit’ operation combines all the entered values and derived values and passes them to the related HubSpot object.

A very brief reference on this (for legacy forms at least) is at: [https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/cms/start-building/features/forms/legacy-forms](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/cms/start-building/features/forms/legacy-forms) Over the years, I’ve done more work using these features than I ever would have expected!

Hope this is helpful.

Steve
