Adding a marketing email checkbox to a form

I will be releasing a whitepaper soon and am creating a form that I will embed on my website for people to fill out to download the document. I would like to add a checkbox at the bottom of the form for people to opt into my monthly marketing email. I have not been able to find instructions on how to do this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi @indyandi,

You can add this in your form via the left sidebar:

Once you select an option, a pre-configured text will appear on the right which you can configure by clicking into it.

In the dropdown, make sure the correct subscription type is selected:

If you’re not seeing a suitable one, you can create one by following these steps:

In lists, you can then filter for contacts who checked the box here:

Best regards!

Thank you, Karsten. I will give that a try!

@karstenkoehler that worked! Is there a way to automatically add them to an existing list if they check the box?

Happy to help :slightly_smiling_face: Yes @indyandi by applying the list filter from my last screenshot.

I am not seeing the List option. When I am in the options for the Data Privacy and consent option, I just see options to change the text. Am I missing something?

@indyandi when you’re editing your existing list or creating a new one, you can filter for those contacts as per my last screenshot - it’s not a forms option.

is there an easy way to make this opt-out instead of opt-in?
