Hi,
I’ve added products and created deals using these products. I’ve now started adding Unit costs to the product but when I run a report it isn’t pulling through to historical deals. I need to add the items again in the deal then delete the old ones. Is there a quick way to push this info through to old deals without having to manually amend? Thanks
Hi @SMarwaha and welcome, it’s so great to see you here!
Great question, thanks for asking the HubSpot Community!
I have been looking for solutions for you and these threads below might be of interest:
- The reply from @JLethin on this post “Use existing Product Library for Line Item Import on Deals”
- The reply from @SComeau on this post “Importing Line Items to Existing Deals”
And here are resources that might be helpful when importing line items:
- Set up import files
(when importing line items with deals, the import will not update the deal amount. To update the associated deal amount, you can manually edit the line items or associate the line items with a deal in HubSpot.)
- Import records and activities
Thanks and have a wonderful weekend @SMarwaha!
Best,

A simple way to do this would be use spreadsheets (G-Sheets/Excel).
You can edit deals in bulk on spreadsheets and push that data back to Hubspot.
There are a bunch of connectors, I’ve liked Superjoin the best for backward sync (Sheets to Hubspot). This should normally work.
For an easy way to upload information from Google Sheets/Excel to HubSpot, you can also look into using external tools. I’ve been using one called Coefficient and one of their features allows you to export live data. It’s been great because this tool is quite simple to set up and I’ve found one of the highlights to be that it gives you a notification of whether the row was successfully exported.
Hi @victoriahcw, I hope that you are well!
Thanks a lot for sharing this integration with the HubSpot Community!
Do you have a link from the HubSpot Marketplace?
Also, do you have screenshots (without sensitive data) and steps to add unit costs (products) to old deals without manually editing them via Coefficient to help @SMarwaha, please?
Have a great day and thank you!

Yeah, once the product is added to a deal, it becomes a static line item, so updates to the product record don’t retroactively apply. You could batch update the old line items via API, or use a no-code tool like Skyvia to automate pushing the updated unit costs into historical deal items.
