Is there a link you can add to an email to automatically add your email address to someone’s address book? I don’t just want to say “Add us to your Address Book” if there is a way to say “Click here to add us to your address book”
I see where this is possible with other email systems but can’t find it in HubSpot. Any advice would be appreciated!
Hi @BMascho,
To achieve this, you would:
- Use a tool like bvcard.com to create a contact file.
- Save the file to your computer.
- Upload the file to the HubSpot file manager: Upload files to use in your HubSpot content
- Copy the link of the file and use it in your email, as a hyperlink for a CTA or a hyperlink within the body text of your email.
Best regards!
Found this thread while looking into this query from a team member…would appreciate your insight. We used to offer this when we sent emails from Mailchimp and recently moved over to HubSpot. What are the actual benefits of setting up the ability to add to an address book? It feels unnecessary but need an explanation to give to our CTO on why we don’t really need it anymore.
Hey @KSteagall,
Thanks for following up on this thread!
I’d like to tag in some contributors from the original conversation for their insights here! @BMascho and @karstenkoehler - any thoughts for @KSteagall and team?

@KSteagall adding someone to your address book primarily helps ensure emails land in the inbox rather than spam. This is still a valuable feature in email clients. However, modern email clients have made this far less necessary than it used to be. Engagement signals like opens, clicks, and replies now carry much more weight with spam filters than address book entries do. If you focus your energy on clean lists, strong engagement rates, and proper authentication setup, then you’ll be in a good place deliverability-wise.
Thank you so much Karsten! This was my hunch but wanted to ask an expert. Feels like a step we don’t need to take anymore / simplify all the elements we have to manage.
