C’mon. this idea submitted on 2020, it’s been 4 years since then. Why is it so hard to add country code on the meeting link form.
Too slow in bringing this basic update
Hello HubSpot Community,
It’s been two years since I last posted about the need for an option to include country codes in phone numbers when setting up forms. Despite numerous messages and feedback, there’s still no update. At this rate, perhaps I’ll be back in another two years to check in again. Quite disappointed by the delay in addressing this simple fix
This should be a feature HubSpot should prioritize. Someone from HubSpot or Partner network commented, “I can see how this could create value…”. As of now as many others have mentioned the Meeting Scheduler is the only feature not having this in the forms. A function that is used by MANY and is a large stream of contact creation into the CRM. So now you have to manually define the country prexif for all contacts created from the Meeting Scheduler to define country prefix… to much hassle for something that should be fixed already.
5 years. 95 upvotes. 44 comments. They’re clearly not interested. For the price we pay for this software you’d hope they’d be a little more responsive.
100% second this, please make this a feature
Seconded. We have external processes that read the country code. Leads coming from meeting links do not have the country code because it is not enforced.
It’s really frustrating: because of this bug with the phone numbers, making calls has become impossible — and as a result, the whole sales process gets blocked… Efficiency definitely takes a hit!
Hi team, replying here on behalf of a customer! This is a really important feature that I’d love to see added.
I find it really important for customers’ business processes.
5 years, 3 months, 16 days, and 118 votes still haven’t been enough to make a simple improvement — even though I consider it a bug… wonderful.
Ugh can we please include this? It’s overwriting data we have in our contact fields if they write something else. We need country code!
Posting on behalf of a customer, this process currently creates a lot of friction because of the workarounds that need to be implemented. Having the ability to validate and collect the area code on the phone number fields in a meeting scheduler form cuts down manual edits that need to be actioned
Enable country code dropdown & E.164 validation in Meeting Scheduler phone field
This feature is extremely important and should not be overlooked.
Currently, the country code dropdown and proper international phone validation (E.164) are available in standard HubSpot forms, but they are NOT supported in the Meeting Scheduler “Your information” form. This creates a serious inconsistency in the platform.
Because of this limitation, I have been forced to temporarily disable synchronization with my CRM. The reason is simple:
- Users enter phone numbers without the international prefix
- This results in inconsistent and invalid phone data inside the CRM.
- Automated workflows, integrations, and sales processes that rely on properly formatted phone numbers break or require manual correction.
- Data quality is compromised.
- Conversion rate drops due to user confusion during booking.
For businesses running paid traffic and using Meeting Scheduler as a primary booking tool, this is not a minor UX detail — it directly impacts revenue, data reliability, and operational efficiency.
The fact that this functionality already exists in HubSpot forms makes the limitation in Meeting Scheduler even more problematic. It creates a fragmented experience within the same platform.
At minimum, Meeting Scheduler should allow:
- A country code dropdown selector
- A fixed default country code option
- Proper E.164 validation
- Customizable placeholder text
This is essential for companies operating in international markets and especially in the EU.
I strongly encourage the product team to prioritize this implementation.
Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I’m Melissa, the Product Manager for HubSpot’s Meetings tool.
At this time there are currently no plans to add a toggle to require country code in the meeting booking forms. We do get a lot of feedback around the difference between the meeting booking forms used to schedule meetings and how they compare to the more advanced forms that you have available to you in HubSpot. In the future, we would love to consider making it possible to allow you to choose a HubSpot Form to use for your meeting bookings so that you get all the functionality like hidden fields, ability to change labels, conditional logic, etc., instead of us continuing to add new capabilities to the meeting booking form but it continuing to be behind in functionality compared to HubSpot Forms.
This is not to say that this idea will never be developed, just that there are no plans to do so at this time. When we do have the capacity to prioritize improvements in this area, we intend to prioritize improvements across meeting booking forms as a whole to bring parity with HubSpot Forms.
In the meantime, I recommend Sales and Service Enterprise portals to check out the conditional routing available in HubSpot forms. You can send people to a HubSpot form to fill in any information using HubSpot’s advanced form capabilities and set conditions to have it route to a specific scheduling page. Within your scheduling page configuration, make sure you have two settings turned on: “Pre-populate fileds with known values” and “Auto-submit form when all fields are pre-populated”. This will ensure that the person bypasses the meeting booking form and only fills in information via the HubSpot form. No need for them to have to enter information twice.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback! I’ll keep this thread updated with any progress we make in this area in the future.

Hey Melissa,
That’s a disappointing response.
A simple field addition to make one of your features usable is not being considered, but instead, you suggest an additional layer of complexity for your customers by adding a separate form to the booking process? I know it’s possible, it’s just illogical. I have raised before that the cost of using HubSpot is bordering on outrageous. A few small tweaks to older features here and there is surely not too much to ask.
Would be so helpful, pls!
my goodness we need this. The fact this hasn’t been done yet is wild!
