Product area: Sales Hub – Email / Meetings
Description:
Right now, the regular 1:1 email composer on contact/company records does not let you insert a HubSpot meetings scheduling link from the Insert menu. The only Insert options I see there are: knowledge base articles, snippets, video, invoices, and signature.
From a workflow perspective, this is a big gap:
- The CRM email composer is one of the most common places a rep sends true 1:1 emails.
- “Book a meeting” is one of the most basic, core actions in a sales email.
- Yet to add a meeting link from that screen I have to:
- Either manually copy/paste my meetings URL from somewhere else, or
- Use an email template as a workaround, or
- Switch to Gmail/Outlook with the extensions just to get the Meetings button.
This feels backwards: the place that should be simplest for 1:1 outreach is missing a basic function, and it adds friction to something I do constantly.
What I’d like to see:
- In the CRM 1:1 email composer, under Insert, add a Meetings / Meeting link option, with:
- Ability to insert:
- A specific scheduling page, and/or
- Sender’s meeting link (so it dynamically uses the current user’s default meetings link).
- Same behavior as in templates / Gmail / Outlook: insert as a hyperlink using my chosen anchor text.
- Ability to insert:
Why it matters:
- Reduces clicks and context‑switching for reps who live in the CRM.
- Makes meeting booking consistent across:
- Templates
- Gmail/Outlook add‑ins
- CRM one‑to‑one emails
- Improves adoption of meetings links and sequences by making “book a meeting” truly a one‑click action in the most basic email surface.
In short: if I can insert a meeting link from templates and external email clients, I should absolutely be able to do it from the native CRM 1:1 email composer as well.
