Add Industry to a Deal

Hi,

We need to be able to track the industry each deal falls within, how can we add the industry property to our deals?

We work with global companies and can have multiple contacts within one company, each buying one or multiple services from us within various deals. We really want to improve our reporting and track our monthly sales and the specific industries that they fall within, to better understand the customers that we attract and if there is particular time of the year that they invest in our services.

Please do let me know how to add the industry property to deals, currently when attempting to clone the industry property, the clone button is greyed out and unavailable.

Hi @4311802,

Not all fields are compatible for copying property values. For radio select properties (such as Industry on company records), all options have to exist in the target property as well. Alternatively, you can copy to a single-line text property as shown below.
