As per my understanding, HubSpot’s Audit Log does not currently create a record when files are deleted or moved to the Trash from Content → Files, even in Enterprise portals.
Files are critical business assets and can impact websites, landing pages, emails, knowledge bases, and other content. When a file is deleted or moved to Trash, administrators should be able to track:
- Who performed the action
- When the action occurred
- Which file was affected
- Whether the file was deleted permanently or moved to Trash
- Any subsequent restore actions
Having file deletion and restore events included in the Audit Log would improve governance, security, compliance, and troubleshooting capabilities for Enterprise customers.
Business Impact:
Without visibility into file deletion activities, administrators cannot easily investigate missing files, accidental deletions, or unauthorized changes. Audit logging for file lifecycle events would provide much-needed transparency and accountability.
