Hey,
Like many other SaaS companies, we have two different payment options for our services. You can either pay annually or monthly.
We want hubspot to be able to adjust the price based on the payment method the customer chooses. With two different prices based on whether you choose annual or monthly If annual payment is chosen, X% discount should be added.
Let’s say product A costs $500 per month.
Pay monthly: $500
Pay per year: $5000 (Save 16%)
Best,
Hi Henrik,
Today the simplest solution is to create your monthly and your annual products as two SKUs and set each pricing accordingly.
Does having two SKUs create other problems?

Aware of that option.
- More work for us to add all products again. We have about 20.
- The human factor can fall in with the “wrong” chosen product.
- We do not want to separate one (1) product into two (2) products for our measurability of ARR, MRR etc. We use an external tool for this purpose.
Hi Henrik, yes I wondered if multi SKU might cause some friction. Here’s how others typically address your concerns:
1. Edd the products with a quick export to CSV, duplicate rows, edit a few columns and re-import
2. Reduce Human error by not putting the monthly/annual dropdown in the centre of the line item entry. Instead, indicate the billing term in the product name. e.g. Product A - Monthly, Product A - Annual. Then people can easily add the correct product from the add-product UI.
3. That might be the trickier one to solve depending on the flexibility of your external system around product and category groupings for reporting.
We wrote an app called DoPricer which automatically sets line item discounts based on company rules, but today it’s used for setting discounts on specific products or product categories. It wouldn’t solve your problem if you want to use the same product for different billing plans. But yours is an interesting use case we might explore further if turns out that multiple HubSpot users want to solve the same as you do.
I hope my points above help you move forward as the system works today!
best
Pete
