add company label Primary in bulk

hi,

i want to add primary company label for contacts whose has only one company associated.

i tried to import the file with record id, company id and priamry company id

but it doesn’t work, please cna you help

Hi @EGONZALOPALOM ,

To bulk-assign the “Primary” company label for contacts that are associated with only one company, you should use a multi-object import (Contacts & Companies) and include an Association Label column with the value set to “primary”.

Just importing record IDs alone won’t update the primary label; HubSpot requires the association label to be included explicitly.

Make sure your file includes:

  • Contact ID or Email
  • Company ID or Domain
  • Association Label (set to “primary”)

Then import it as a Contacts & Companies file. That’ll update the association and mark the company as primary for each contact.
