I’m trying to add a product property to the ‘Edit Line Item’ Form.
As seen below, it has been done in the past.
I’ve read through the other posts, it’s not through the product library (changed that, no change in the line item). I dont want to change the columns. I though there used to be a ‘Line Item’ option: Settings → Objects → Line Items, but maybe I’m wrong?

Changes made to the create product form should also reflect on the line item edit form. Navigate to Menu → Commerce → Products → Add products → Create a product → [top left] Edit this form.

I have a follow-up question that relates to the original question asked. I’ve added several custom Properties to the Line Items view (see below), specifically:
- License / Delivery Start Date
- License / Delivery End Date
- Region
- Practice
When editing the Line Item to fill in Description (which is a weird ommision that it can’t be edited in the previous (above) view - why?), the two Start and End Date Properties are flipped (‘End’ being the first one, which is confusing). If I remember correctly, the custom Properties were added by me but I can’t seem to be able to edit them anymore. Why? Will this functionality be added back?
The answer provided by Karsten sadly doesn’t really solve the issue as the file path suggested doesn’t exist in HubSpot’s current form / version.
Can anyone suggest a solution / workaround please? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you.

What you’re describing is more of a current product limitation rather than an issue with configuration.
There is a related Ideas Forum post where the Product team has shared that improvements around editing Line Item properties are in development.
My recommendation is to add you specific use case in the comments and upvote the post so the Product team is aware of your feedback and can it this to the roadmap

It looks like the properties after Name and SKU are listed in alphabetical order, so modifying the property name could switch the order for you. It’s not the best solution, but it’s something to consider.
