Please add a public API for creating and retrieving comments on CRM tasks—the same comments users can add directly in HubSpot. **Current limitation** The Tasks API lets integrations create and update tasks, including the `hs_task_body` notes/description field, but it does not expose an endpoint for task comments. Updating the description is not equivalent to adding a comment. Creating a separate CRM note also places the update outside the task’s comment thread. **Example use case** When an external system has an update relevant to a task, an integration should be able to add a comment such as: “Requested documents received. Ready for review.” That update should appear in the task’s existing comment thread, with a timestamp and clear attribution, so users can follow the conversation where they manage the work. **Requested functionality** - Create a comment on an existing task by task ID. - Retrieve comments for a task, including comment IDs, timestamps, and author information. - Make API-created comments visible alongside comments added through the HubSpot interface. This would help teams connect external tools and automated workflows to HubSpot while preserving task descriptions and keeping task-related updates together. Does anyone else need this capability?
