I’d like to request an enhancement to the default Traffic Analytics and Website Activity reports, specifically the ability to apply advanced filters like Landing Page URL exclusions.
While HubSpot’s built-in reports like “New Visitor Session Totals by Day with Source Breakdown” are incredibly useful, they currently don’t support filtering by specific URLs or hostnames. This limits the ability to:
- Exclude internal or staging pages (it’s possible to exclude the tracking of these pages in tracking settings, but only ones that do not contain the same domain name.)
- Isolate sessions landing on specific high-value pages
- Prevent non-core activity from skewing traffic or source attribution
- Currently the only possible filter is “device type”
Suggested solution: Add a “Filters” panel to the default Traffic Analytics reports—similar to the one in the Custom Report Builder—that would allow us to:
- Include or exclude sessions based on Landing Page URL
- Filter sessions by Referrer, Host, or Query Parameter
- Combine time-based filters (e.g. “last 30 days”) with session-specific conditions
Even just exposing Landing Page URL and Page Path as available filters in Traffic Analytics would provide significantly more flexibility for operational teams, marketers, and analysts.
