Agreed, it would be great to be able to acknowledge a comment without having to comment back.
I have also submitted emails requesting this also. And I have seen it mentioned multiple times in the suggestions. I am surprised they don’t have this implemented yet. Hopefully it’s on the docket for the next update. It would be nice to react/acknowledge a note without having to create another note. It would keep the threads tidy!
It seems a small thing but this feature would really help our company adopt HubSpot comments for back-and-forth about our customers and prospects. We currently use Basecamp for a lot of those convos, mainly because the commenting experience is much better, but it’s NOT where our customer data lives. Please, HubSpot!

The emoticon concept for comments, activities, etc would be extremely helpful when using the AI feature of HubSpot to understand the sentiments around a particular comment or message, whether it be a customer response or an internal note. This way, the AI can summarize the general sentiment about the progress of an account, deal or contact relationship which will help significantly when assessing sales approaches and prioritization. Just a small addition (Emoticon) can have such a great impact to the value of the information that has been painstakingly entered into HubSpot.
It hasn’t been implemented yet, but I would appreciate it if you could address it soon.
Currently, acknowledging a note or confirming an action item requires typing out a text reply or tagging someone. This friction slows down cross-functional collaboration and makes scaling efficient communication difficult, as team members are forced to choose between leaving no signal or cluttering threads with short “got it” responses.
